Our body absorbs the food we eat as well as the products we apply to our skin. Therefore, organic good and organic body care are two sides of the same coin.

At Urtekram, we are very aware that Denmark does not have any government guaranteed organic labels for cosmetics because the red "Ø"-label is mainly used for foodstuffs. This makes it difficult to gain an overview of the market for organic body care products.

If you cannot find the red “Ø”-label on a bottle of organic shampoo, how do you actually know that the content fulfils the requirements for organic products? Can you actually be sure that the bottle does not contain any problematic preserving agents, chemical sun filters, animal remains or pesticides?

In order to provide an answer to these questions, we have decided to label all our products with the French label , which is the world’s leading certification organisation for organic products. In this way you know that our body care products – with or without perfume - do in fact fulfil the international requirements related to organic products.

Urtekram is part of the international market, so you will also find the Ecocert label on our food.
